Chilling in Singapore

Day 1

Enjoy a fun start to your day at Resorts World Sentosa. Home to a Universal Studios theme park, you can escape into a fantasy world where your favourite movies come to life. Catch a fire-and-water show featuring death-defying stunts based on the box-office hit movie WaterWorld. At Ancient Egypt, you can battle an army of warrior mummies as you cruise through dark and mysterious ancient chambers and tombs, or hop on the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure to take a thrilling river-raft ride through jungles teeming with ferocious dinosaurs. If you’re in the mood for a slightly less action-packed experience, check out Festive Walk, an attractive open-air pedestrian mall where you can window-shop or take a break to enjoy a cappuccino.

Siloso Beach

After a fun-filled morning, it’s time to slow things down with a chilled-out activity that’s perfect for enjoying the midday heat—a leisurely lunch at Café del Mar. Singapore’s answer to the famous Ibiza hotspot, this relaxed atmosphere of this beach restaurant and lounge goes perfectly with the golden sands of Siloso Beach on Sentosa Island. Find a seat in a comfy cabana or lounge on a cosy day bed while sipping a refreshingly cool cocktail. If you’re hungry, try the deliciously light tomato and basil bruschetta or tuck into the baked Pacific dory or a tender rib-eye steak. With the great beach view and gentle sea breeze, you’ll wish the meal would never end.

When you’ve been nicely lulled into a state of relaxation after lunch, hop on one of the island buses for the short ride to Spa Botanica. Set in a tranquil garden at the stylish Sentosa Resort & Spa, it’s an idyllic spot for you to rest and regenerate. Soak your tired muscles in the float pool with a cascading waterfall or indulge in luxurious spa treatments, from wraps to scrubs and body massages. Let the different scents, sounds and sensations of this little piece of heaven invigorate your body, mind and spirit.

Vivo City

After recharging your batteries, it’s time for a shopping spree! Shopping aficionados will love VivoCity, just a short bus or monorail ride from Sentosa. As Singapore’s largest retail mall, it features everything from fashion to electronics to entertainment, including a unique National Geographic flagship concept store and luxurious cinemas showing the latest international hits. If all this shopping makes you hungry, you won’t stay that way for long. Cantonese dim sum, fresh sushi, Brazilian churrascaria, gourmet burgers, local desserts—whatever you fancy, you’re sure to find something to tickle your taste buds. Be sure to visit the mall’s rooftop sky park to take in panoramic views of Sentosa Island and the sea beyond.

The sun may have set, but your day is far from over! Keep the party going as you dance the night away at St. James Power Station, located next to VivoCity. Housed in an abandoned power station built in 1927, this mega-club features nine separately themed clubs that cater to a specific music style to keep you partying into the wee hours. You can salsa in Movida, catch local bands at Bar None or hop over to Powerhouse to groove to smooth house beats. Best of all, you pay only one entry fee, which grants you access to all clubs and includes a cocktail of your choice!
